At the Spring Greek Awards 2010, Gamma Phi Beta won the award for having the Best New Member Program!!! Way to go girls of GPHIB!!!
University of Oregon Fraternity and Sorority recently completed Greek Week last week! The theme for Greek Week this year was Greek Gods and Goddess and Gamma Phi got Helen of Troy and Hercules. Activities included Obstacle Courses, Soccer Games, and Food Eating Competitions! At the end of the week, a Talent Show was put on and Gamma Phi Beta received 3rd Place for their awesome dancing skills.
On May 15th through May 16th, the U of O had Relay For Life, the hours went from 5pm until 8am in the morning. Girls from Gamma Phi went and participated in the memorable experience for the honorable cause to help raise money for cancer. This was a time where girls were able to bond with each other and help support their sisters in the sorority.
Thursday, May 20, Gamma Phi had Big Sis Reveal for all the new pledges of the Spring 2010 Pledge Class. The events that night started at 6pm where girls ventured over to a local restaurant for frozen yogurt. As soon as the clock hit 7pm, the girls raced into the house to look for hidden clues that were throughout the house. Girls’ big’s were hidden throughout the house and it was up the girls to find them using their clues. This is a special experience that ever girl gets to have when joining Gamma Phi. It is a time that they will definitely never forget!
Over the weekend of May 21, 22, and 23, it was Gamma Phi’s Mom’s Weekend. Mom’s from all over came to spend time with their daughters and participated in a bunch of fun events. Events included an auction, cooking classes and painting ceramic pieces at a local business called Brush Fire. Mom’s weekend is definitely a favorite time for the ladies of Gamma Phi Beta.
